MOOOOROOOLBARK AY MARLOW ST FAIR DINKUM

MOOOOROOOLBARK AY MARLOW ST FAIR DINKUM
Sister Marlowe...Week #16
March 26, 2017

Wooooooooo wee. Wow.

Tuesday was the most hectic, insane day of my life.
(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I got all of my bags packed and put all my belongings and my life in the boot of our car and left my birthplace of Moorabbin to head off to the crazy, hilly world of Mooroolbark. YAY. So we went to the office and said farewells to a few missionaries, (CRY) including Sister Schaub, who is staying in Moorabbin with a sister who I pretty much switched areas with! She is also going to be training a new golden, so I'M GOING TO HAVE A BABY SISTER!!!! Alsooooooo I (we) got a car! The new area I'm in, Mooroolbark, recently had another branch in the Stake dissolved into it. So it's a huuuuuge area. And there haven't been driving missionaries here in ages. So this will be quite the transfer!! Man, the vehicle coordinator just gave me a set of car keys and asked if I thought I'd be okay driving and then sent us off with a printed paper of directions to get to our flat half an hour away hahaha..... Yeah so we totally missed the SECOND TURN and drove about 45 minutes in the completely wrong direction. and 5 minutes into the drive, it started raining soo hard that the streets were almost flooding. So I've got a new companion who speaks about medium english, I'm driving for the first time in 4 months, completely backwards, in the middle of a monsoon storm and I can't figure out which side is the turn signal and which side is the windshield wipers, and we are lost in Australia with no gps and no map. SO THAT WAS AWESOME. But, I tell ya what, people, our Heavenly Father answers our prayers. After going into 7 eleven (the first time) and trying to get ourselves un-lost with help from a cashier who also spoke minimal english, I finally just sat in the car and said a prayer that we would please eventually be able to find our flat. And that's how prayer works! We didn't just open our eyes after the prayer and automatically poof into our driveway at home, we had to get on the road, get lost one more time, ask for directions again, struggle a little more with those dang windshield wipers, and THEN we made it to the flat. Heavenly Father absolutely answers all of our prayers.  But not always immediately. Sometimes it's when we're just about to give up, quit and throw it all away. (or when we're just about to pull over and give up and cry on the side of the road instead of finding our way home.) BUT. For the people who pray for help and do their best, Heavenly Father can always make up the difference.
That's kind of what's driving me right now. I think I got it veeeery easy my first two transfers: I had a great ward, a fantastic companion who I consider a sister and one of the best friends I've ever had, a district who really supported me as a new missionary and were my best best buds.... It's very different now. BUT. It's okay! I just get to become a little (or a lot) closer with my Heavenly Father this transfer.
Wednesday was a great day! We got some tracting in and met this awesome guy named Darcy who just turned 21 and we got another appointment with him. Hopefully we'll be able to help and see him progress with this gospel! I also have gotten to meet a few members and I'm excited to meet more! I think I've been on the verge of tears more often in the last few days than any other time in my life... It's a good thing I've got a God to pray to :)
Also, I have the most sweet as companion! Sister Chang is from Taiwan, speaks Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese and even though she's been out for 8 transfers, this is only her 3rd transfer teaching in English! She is shorter that me, (hehehe) Slight tangent off that fact, Yes at home I'm the shortest person anywhere and everywhere I go, but I'm taller than so many people here hahahaha. It's the weirdest thing. Anyways, back to my companion. She makes me weird fruit smoothies every morning for breakfast and she is soooooo organized about everything that sometimes it freaks me out and she pets my head. Like all the time. And sometimes she pinches my cheeks. Or pokes my dimples when I smile. She's wonderful. It's fantastic. She taught me how to introduce myself in Chinese and tells me that I have a really good chinese accent..... Hehehehehe. Also, (believe it or not) Call me Mr. Pest control because I kill allll the bugs in this joint. Man the other day I caught a cockroach that was huuuge as. Like bigger than an average size paperclip mate. I'm a little sad, because there are only 2 train stops in our area, (in Moorabbin there were about 15-20 ish) so that's a slight bummer since train GQ-ing is my FAVORITE, but it's A-okay! We just get to be creative and find different ways to share about this great gospel! As long as we do our best and give the glory to God, things will work out and be okay in the end. :)

I ALMOST FORGOT THE BEST PART AY
GUESS WHO LIVES ON MARLOW STREET. Yeah that's right. and yes I know it's missing the E, but sometimes we just take what we're given ;)

Also I have never been so tired as in my lifeeeee mates. I think I have fallen asleep on my knees praying at least three separate times this week hahahaha. And like deep enough asleep on my knees that I was dreaming! I have a better sleep schedule right now than I've had at any other time in my whole life and I'm still heaps more exhausted than any of those times.

The adventure continues!!! I love you all!! Have the greatest week and try not to completely totally forget your favorite Sister Marlowe in Australia on Marlow Street.
LOVE YOUS!

My favorite quote from the week:
"The only difference between missionaries and angels is that they serve on different sides of the veil." --our ward mission leader//he said one companion of his never wanted to spend time with the other missionaries on Pday. A mission is your only chance to hang out with those "angels" as one yourself!! So yes we got up at 5:15 this morning to go exercise in Wantirna with our zone. Onwards and upwards kids!!

PS. The roundabouts in Australia are ridiiiiiiiiculous. Yes, down the block from us, there's a triple combination roundabout hahaha. it's like riding a small rollercoaster.

BEST/SADDEST EVA

BEST/SADDEST EVA
Sister Marlowe...Week #15
March 19, 2017

Greetings my kiddos! It's been a wild week here in Mooooooooorabbin Australia
So I finished the missionary training program this week, (sooo crazy because I still feel like a baby missionary) I'm finally a toddler missionary now ay! ;)

Aaaaaaaand drum roll please for TRANSFER NEWS.......

Just kidding I'm not telling you yet, I waited a whole week to find out my destiny, I've got to implement a little suspense in some small way at least. Hehehe.

Some fun things this week:

Thursday we met with our investigator Gary who we found through the phone a few weeks ago! I think I might have mentioned him last week but he's Buddhist and such an interesting man.

Friday we went to meet a man who we found in our phone from a while back, aaaaand he was the most bogan (redneck) Aussie I've met hahahaha. He had one black tooth (and only that tooth) and started rolling a joint while he gave a speech about how important it is to follow Jesus. It was so fun hahaha!

Saturday was so great!!
we met the coooolest guy named Marvin, who was actually referred to us, but he's 20 and a Buddhist monk. Wow. He told us that he was an orphan as a baby, and was raised by monks in a Buddhist temple! Crazy crazy! It was interesting, he kind of told us right off the bat, "I can't change my religion because I would be betraying the monks at home that raised me as an orphan and they're the only people that love me." He also shared that he has always felt so so alone. He has never met anyone who has any similar experience and could even begin to sympathize with his experiences! But we were able to talk to him a lot about God, and how God loves him so so much, and even though no one here understands the pain he's felt, he does have a Father! One in Heaven who loves him and understands him. We invited him to pray, and talk to God about the things he feels and struggles with. I hope and pray we see that boy again because I know that he is really and truly loved, and I want him to be able to see that as clearly as I do!!!
Later, we had a ward party and that was so fun and interesting hahahaha. Aaaand we ended off the day with some good old TRAIN CONTACTING. Ah train GQing is my absolute favorite thing to do. We talked to the cooolest lady ever from New South Wales, who was on her way to the Adele concert in Melbies hahahah. She was probably one of the most amazing people I've ever talked to! It's so hard to explain but listening to her talk was like reading a really really good old book, with just the most beautiful words and ways of describing things! She's a writer and it was soooo cool, after asking her about her writing and things, Sister Schaub just goes, "Sooo do you like to read too? We have this great book you should really read." And booooom gave her the Book of Mormon and she was sooo excited and flipping through reading different verses and looking through the index! Wow. I could just see the spirit start working in her the moment she had that book in her hands. SO AMAAZING!!!

Sunday was a crazy day! We waited allllll of Saturday for transfer news..... and got NO NEWS. Ah. I was a complete nervous wreck. Actually, I had been a nervous wreck since about Thursday. But. It's fine. Whatever. Church was so great, and in relief society, one of the women was teaching about prayer and the importance of family prayer. I AM SO SO GRATEFUL FOR A FAMILY THAT PRAYS TOGETHER REGULARLY. Prayer is such a powerful and wonderful blessing. Through prayer, we are able to communicate with a real and living GOD. I don't think we quite realize sometimes how extremely significant and awe-inspiring that knowledge is!!!!! Keep that in mind this week.

And nooooowwww drum roll pleaseeeee (again)

I am leaving my dear beloved Moorabbin to head off to a new area, called Mooroolbark! It's in the Maroondah zone, and I am soooooo excited and SO SAD to leave my birthplace, and beloved district and companion. AHHHHHH. But, 'twill be a new adventure! I will be with Sister Chung/Chiang/Chang however you spell it, all I know is that she is Chinese, has been out for a while, aaaand can't drive. SO. I reckon that means I'll be practicing my left side driving this week :)

We also had our zone sunrise Cape Schanck devotional, (my last before I leave this zone) and it was AMAZING as always. Enjoy the pics :) [don't get tooooo jealous] ;)

LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a great week, and don't forget that you are loved beyond measure!!!

HELLLOOOOOOO

HELLLOOOOOOOO!
Sister Marlowe...Week #14
Markch 13, 2017

Helllooooooo!

It's been a week of miracles people! Don't have a lot of time because I've got some paperwork to get done to be able to DRIVE!!! Crazy stuff down here in the country of Aussie on the wrong side of the road ;)

Besides that, we found a few new investigators this week!! I mentioned last week that we've been going through our gold mine of a phone? We found a man named Gary this week through the old phone numbers and he is the greatest!!! We had an appointment and when we drove up, he was out standing on his porch waiting for us with Book of Mormon in hand! He wasted no time in sitting us down and asking straight up "Alright so I've been studying in this book and I need you to tell me more about Nephi." We had a great conversation with him about the Book of Mormon and it was fantastic! Apparently so fantastic that by the time we got to our second appointment with him later in the week, he had brought out a picture of Jesus to hang next to where we sat to teach him. What a guy. He is so fantastic.
We also found another guy named Shayan this week through tracting in a suburb we haven't been super familiar with! We talked to him at the door, asked him about his background and got to know him and he was super keen on learning more about the Book of Mormon, so we asked if he had time then or if we should come back later... He said well right now is great! We (and the spirit) taught him about the Restoration of the gospel, and he accepted an invitation to be baptized as he continues to progress and learn more!!! What a cool experience! So excited to continue to see him progress :)

To end of last week, we had exchanges with the STL's and instead of going to their area with them, I stayed in Moorabbin with Sister Daroy and lead the area... I was sooooooo nervous and scared and worried and it ended up going so well! Heavenly Father answers our prayers, even when we're nervous :))))))))))))

My favorite thing ever to do is Train GQ. I LOVE TRAIN GQ-ING. Just something about riding a train in Australia and talking to Filipino, Taiwanese, Italian, Samoan, Aussie, etc. people about life, Jesus Christ, and the things they hold most near and dear to their heart.

Aaaaaand to end/start of the week, we went bowling and laser tagging with our best ever district to end off the transfer and celebrate Aussie Labor Day!!! WAHOOOOOO! So much fun. and in case you couldn't guess, I was in completely last place in every round of laser tag and I totally lost like all 5 games of bowling. Go me. Yayyyyy :) I may be awful at everything, but I still have a testimony and Heavenly Father loves me :')

I am so grateful every day that I get to be here in a place that I love with people I love sharing my testimony about the things that are most important to me!!!!! #BLESSINGS

I wish I could write more, but 'tis a crazy day, so ya'll will hear from me then! And I will have transfer news...... AHHHHHHHHH

Loooooves,

Malo! It's been a great week in Moooooooorabbin Australia!Last y'all heard from me, we were just about to go to the Melbourne Temple with Sheng Li!! What a great night. Two of our members, Mary and Peter brought him to the temple, and we got to come along and watch as well while Sheng Li performed baptisms for the dead. There aren't many things cooler than seeing someone  progress so far with the gospel to be able to be in the temple and perform temple work for others as well. Thank you all for your prayers for Sheng Li!We've been doing a lot of working with members this week, trying to meet their families and encourage them to do missionary work! All of the advertisements in the city for the Book of Mormon have been taken down, and now there is a huuuge social media campaign starting up as well! We are working to help all the members post on social medias and in their circles of friends about their beliefs. It is so cool to see more and more people getting excited about sharing the gospel! Last week in a meeting with some of the other missionaries and our stake president, someone was saying how the members all think all of these Book of Mormon campaigns and ads have been "such a great opportunity for the missionaries..." hahahahahahhaha mannn we talk to people all the time regardless! What some of these people don't realize is that this is a great opportunity for the members!!! It benefits us because people have heard of the book of mormon, so that's one bonus for us, but these members are able to now talk to their coworkers and friends about their faith and lead by example, example, example!
This week was double good, because, yes, we got to go to the temple again!!! Our zone had our temple day, to go through and do work people who have died and it was oh-so wonderful. Wow. No matter where in the world you go, the temple will be wonderful and there is a spirit there that you can't feel anywhere else! The Melbourne temple is so little and tiny and I love it so so much.

On saturday, our stake had a big fear factor youth activity, and all the missionaries (12 of us) were invited to come participate so we could meet all the young women and young men and their friends! It was so funny as! All the companionships were the captains of different teams, so we had to recruit kids as they got there and we toooootally got the best team hehehe. They had to do all kinds of different crazy activities and at the very end, they did this crazy tug of war thing where 3 teams went against the three others. All the extra teammates who weren't on the rope were on the sidelines with water balloons, chocolate syrup, flour bombs, etc to bombard the other team with so they couldn't pull the rope and it was the most ridiculous thing to watch ever. Sooooooo we totally joined in the fight in our proselyting clothes and i got nailed in the head with a huge wet flour bomb. It kind of almost looked like someone threw up on my head... Hahahha badge of honor ay?

It was so cool though to get to know all the youth in our stake and we are so excited to get to know them better! The youth absolutely can be our best member missionaries and we're so excited to get them involved and get to know them better as they share the gospel with their friends!

This coming week is going to be soooo good! We have heaps of really great things happening in our area, and we're meeting with a few really awesome people this week that really seem prepared to learn about this gospel!

I am so grateful that I get to be surrounded by the joy of the gospel of Jesus Christ everyday. Sometimes it's tough when people say no (in nice ways and not so nice ways), but it never shakes what I believe! Some people wonder how we can know that it's true--Maybe our answers to prayers are just "coincidence"... but I know that's not true. I can say with an absolute surety that I know my prayers are heard and answered by a loving Father in Heaven. I've experienced it too many times in my life for it to be "coincidence". I know that I will keep having my prayers answered until the day I return to that same Heavenly Father who loves me more than I can even imagine. Take a little extra time this week to think about who you are praying to.

I LOVE YOUS ALL! Have a grouse week!

WHAT A WEEK!

WHAT A WEEK!
Sister Marlowe...Week #12
February 27, 2017

WHAT A WEEK!!!! I feel like I say that every week hahahhaha. Man. Two things: Filippinos eat some dang good food ayyyy and second of all, AUSTRALIA IS SO PRETTY WOW!!!! Maybe one day we can all just take a giant group roadtrip over here and I can be your tourguide lololol

ALSO, we have been riding the trains HEEEEAPS this week to talk to lots of people. People are so interesting. They'll either have a totally open conversation with you, toooootally avoid eye contact, or just straight shut you down. ALso one thing I learned this week is that headphones are a tool of the devil to keep people from hearing about the gospel hahahah. Really though it's true.

We found the coolest investigator this week, her name is Dahli and she is atheist! She is so great. She asks a lot of really interesting questions about God and it's kind of given me a pretty good perspective on what that might be like to just believe in science instead of God... besides her, I think everyone in the whole area is teamed up to try and avoid us and reject us this week... Sad.

YESTERDAY was the greatest day ever, ZONE P-DAY
We went down the mornington peninsula after me and Sister Schaub got to have a sleepover at a member family's house in the other end of the stake, and it was SO FUN! Gosh I wish I could live on the coast of Australia forever and ever. WOWWIE
Sorry this is the lamest, worst email ever but I'm trying to get in and outta here quickie! And we are headed off to the Melbourne temple to see Sheng Li do baptisms for the dead!! YAY! and between Sheng Li at the temple, yesterday p-day adventuring, and the fact that later this week is our zone temple day, this week is a TRIPLE WIN!!!!

I love you allllllllllllll and have a grouse week!!!!!

Sister Marlowe--your FAVORITE sister missionary..named sister marlowe..in Australia

yes sister schaub begs me to give her piggy back rides all the time... even when we're hiking

Malo! What a grouse week my duuuuudes! I love hearing from all of yous every week!
A few GREAT THINGS this week! First and foremost, My FAVORITE, WE GOT TO GO TO THE CITY DOWNTOWN MELBOURNE CENTRAL!! And no not just for a little day trip Holiday, we got to go work shifts at the 9-foot-tall book of Mormon that stands outside one of the busiest train stations in Melbourne, Federation Square. The other train station, Southern Cross, a few blocks away is deeeeecked out in banners advertising the Book of Mormon, and mormon.org.au. Melbourne Australia is being flooded with the Book of Mormon right now. Working at the book of Mormon on Fed Square is the coolest thing! Legally, you can only proselyte within a 3 meter radius of the book, but so many people just walk right up and go inside, where there are different plaques with questions that people wonder, and answers straight from the Book of Mormon, along with videos of local members playing on a huge screen, (videos are also at mormon.org.au). THE BOOK OF MORMON IS AN INSPIRED BOOK. We are able to receive so much clarity, help and guidance from the Book of Mormon that can be found nowhere else on earth! Wow. We also got to spend a few hours street-contacting down the streets and that was the coolest experience ever!!! I am pretty much at a loss for words, I wish I could just redo it all over and over! Also, I'm the woooorst and forgot my camera!! So therefore I am stealing pictures from everyoneeee and I hired my own paparazzi for the city hahahaha.
Also I told my mum mum that our mission literally RAN OUT of copies of the Book of Mormon because we've been giving so many away with this Book of Mormon campaign in the city and on all the TV adverts and stuff! Coolest evaaa kiddos

Another awesome thing this week, we met this AWESOME Samoan lady, daughter of the Samoan family we met last week with the stake president *miracles* and she is the coolest! She has the CUTEST kids and she is so grouse herself! For all of you who know Mrs. Katie Gore, from Hillcrest, (the coolest eva), This Lady Ruby, is literally the Samoan version of Gore so obviously I love her to death!!!

I wish I could say more, but outtta time and there are the highlights! Also it's starting to get cold?? "Cold" hahha means like 16 degrees (mid-60's ish for all you Farenheit folks) but I still think I'm going to freeze to death sometimes.. Pray for me hahahaha. I love all of yous heaps!!!!

MALO! (everyone here calls me this, because apparently, Malo means hello in Tongan. I just roll with it mates)

What a week!!!!! So even though I'm still emotionally recovering from the fact that BOTH OF MY PARENTS forgot to email me this week (goodness gracious you forgot about your favorite child), I'll try my best to sum up the highlights of this week!
First off, we have some of the coooooolest members evaaa in our ward! Seriously greatest. Sorry all y'all, it's truuuuue.

Pretty much a lot of our plans didn't go.... as planned. Wow I'm dumb hahaha. Anyways, we didn't have the most perfect week ever, but we had some great miracles! We've been able to meet with Sheng-Li a few times and talk to him about the TEMPLE! Ah! He's planning on goign to the temple to do baptisms in about two weeks. Pray pray prayyyyy for that boy! We are so excited for him and it is so great to hear him share his testimony and how he is really learning to trust in God and he's trying to hard to do his best!

Miracle from this week!!!!!:
We saw a name in our ward list of a family we hadn't ever met before, so we decided to stop by while in the area and meet this mom! We walk up to the door and there were some people outside, we tried to introduce ourselves but it was just awkward aand just a few miscommunications, and then we just hear "Hey! Sisters! how are you??" we turn around to see this huge Samoan guy, with a big tattoo on his arm and an all Blacks hat on and he's like "Hey I'm President Malua from the Deer park stake on the west side of Melbourne!" And we're just freaking out. and then he goes "Ah this is my sister's house! I'm so grateful you're here, this is a miracle" Then he goes on to talk to us outside, gave us some background on the family, and they haven't been active in the church for OVER 15 YEARS. He just kept telling us "Oh I'm so glad you're here I've been praying that they could meet missionaries, Please come meet with them whenever you can they need this" So then he brings us in the house, sits us down with the son (his nephew) and pretty much just tells us and his nephew straight up "you need to come here and help this family they need you and you are welcome here always" and his nephew is just like "okay uncle yes uh please come back anytime" hahaha

AMAZING!!! Also, side note: Samoans are the best people ever okay

We had our Braeside stake conference this week, and WOW! President Vidmar spoke at our Saturday night session and I was just hoping and praying that the members were just soaking in everything that wonderful man said! He spoke about member involvement in the missionary work..... To all of you at home---GET INVOLVED. He quoted Elder Bednar I think in saying that "The full time missionaries are being called to teach. THEY ARE AND WILL BE YOUR FULL TIME TEACHERS. The members are also called to help in this work. THE MEMBERS SHOULD BE FULL TIME FINDERS."

PLEASE meet the missionaries serving in your ward/stake, and PLEASE be praying for people that you might share the gospel with. The gospel will bring true and lasting joy---if we share it. I looooooove this work and I love the people of Melbies, Aus and Most of all, I love my Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. We have so much potential!!!! Take hold of it.

Looooove from your favorite sister Missionary in Melbies,
Sister Marlowe (and if I'm not, check your priorities stat people)

WHAT A WEEK

WHAT A WEEK
Sister Marlowe...Week #9
February 5, 2017

WHAT A WEEK. I don't even know where to begin!!!!!!!

We watched the broadcast for the missionaries this week and about scheduling with our zone... Such a huge change but we are so excited to see how this will help us as missionaries in the good work of the Lord! We also had a "funeral" to say goodbye to some of our favorite Filipino Elders in our district... Very sad to see them go but it's amazing how people the gospel brings people together from all around the world to be great friends!!!
I don't know if I've really mentioned this, but the Book of Mormon musical is here in Melbourne as of the last two weeks! Very very against the church, BUT the church has put up SO many ads, in train stations, on trams, bus stops, during prime time of the Australian open tennis tournament!! Even though the play is completely against the church, the name of the BOOK OF MORMON IS GETTING OUT THERE!!!!! Since the play got here and with all the church's ads, visitors to mormon.org.au have increased by 900%!!!! We got our first investigator this week as a direct result of the play and these ads and we are SO EXCITED!!

Wish I had more time, but CLIMAX OF THIS WEEK. Our investigator, Sheng Li, got baptized Saturday!!! Man. It is so amazing and so cool to see someone so excited about the gospel of Jesus Christ! He grew up in China with no religious background, but he loves the peace and calm that come from the book of Mormon and from believing in Jesus Christ. He shared his testimony after his baptism and he just started talking about repentance and just sharing all these wonderful things and we just were trying not to laugh because even we were so shocked but how deeply he understands everything. Sheng Li is one of the smartest people I think I've ever met!!! It's hard for him because he's super into computers and programming and all of that has logic and correct factual answers that he can find! He's figuring out every day that with the gospel, we learn little by little. But. Please remember him in your prayers! We are hoping to take him to the temple to do baptisms in the next 3 weeks, as soon as he gets the Aaronic Priesthood! AMAZING!!!

Also, shameless plug, AUSTRALIA IS SO PRETTY I DIE EVERY DAY. Our zone went hiking in a little rain this morning to a lookout right on the very tip of Australia this morning for the sunrise.... Ah. Me and my companion woke up at 3 this morning to start off our day, then we drove for about an hour and a half.... Ah adventure hahahaha. MY ZONE IS SO AMAZING. Mom and Dad I'm gonna have to bring to Cape Schanck someday kkkkkkk??? Ocean+stormy weather+sunrise+missionaries+1 shared flashlight for all of us in the PITCH BLACK DARK on seaweed rocks=best Pday eva.

Anyways, I have about a thousand more wonderful things that I wish I could share with you but SADLY I'm out of time but I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!! Have the best week eva my kiddos!

Loooooovies,

Sister Marlowe

PS never leave your camera unattended on a table at a zone meeting with a bunch of elders

GOOD ON YA MATE!

GOOD ON YA MATE!
Sister Marlowe...Week #8
January 29, 2017

Wow emailing time goes TOO FAST! So, I have about .2 seconds to write this but a FEW HIGHLIGHTS:

Tuesday: had my first fish n chips with a lady in our ward who hasn't come for 8 years!!! She randomly decided to come last week and has decided to come back to church regularly! She missed the spirit and consistency of the church-- she invited us to come back weekly for a meal and asked that we please help her to grow in the gospel again and build her faith. WOW! (also, she caught the fish on Monday and made the fish and chips fresh Tuesday.. authentic hehe)

Thursday we went to the Uni to teach our investigator Sheng-Li who is GETTING BAPTIZED THIS SATURDAY. Pleaseee prayers for Sheng-Li! He is a Chinese student at Monash and really wants to be baptized to bring peace into his life! he is wonderful. I wish I had more time to tell you all about him!!!!
Also, Thursday was Australia Day---I made handmade pasta from scratch call me Chef Marlowe from Italy, grouse mate ay?

Friday was our zone conference with Elder Nielson from the seventy, and WOW! I think it was the most amazing day. And I looooove President and Sister Vidmar so much. They are absolutely the most amazing people.

aaaaaand DRUM ROLL PLEASE

yesterday after church (which was fantastic) we stopped in to see 96-year old Molly..... This visit ended with her coming along to visit a few investigators and me hauling her walker in and out of the boot of the car hahahaha. SHE IS THE BEST! We weren't able to stay for any long lessons but she totally got us a return appointment with an older investigator lady we have who's Scottish. This 96-years YOUNG  lady molly is a better missionary than me ay

LOVE YOU ALL!

Cheers and have heaps of fun this week and remember to pray! Prayer works miracles :)
